Then its time for me to move on from Sri Lanka to the country of Saudi Arabia (remember, this is just a "make-believe" vacation)

SAUDI ARABIA

Saudi Arabia is the birthplace of Islam and home to Islam's two holiest shrines in Mecca and Medina. The country is a leading producer of oil and natural gas and holds more than 20% of the world's proven oil reserves. With its approximately 2,150,000 square km (830,000 square miles), Saudi Arabia is the largest country of the Arabian Peninsula and has about 27.6 million inhabitants. The Kingdom is sometimes called "The Land of The Two Holy Mosques" in reference to Mecca and Medina, the two holiest places in Islam.

Hello all!

In this feature I have desided to travel to the beautiful island nation of SRI LANKA.

Sri Lanka is a tropical island in the Indian ocean in South Asia, located about 30 km from the southern coust of India. It was until 1972 known as Ceylon. It has about 20 million inhabitants and is a multi-religious and multi-ethnic nation. About 70 % of the inhabitants are buddhists, 7-15 % are hindus, about 8 % are muslims, and about 6 % are christians.
Sri Lanka is famous for the production and export of products like tea, coffee, rubber and coconuts.

I lived in Sri Lanka from the summer of 1990 till thesummer of 1992. It was an amazing time in my life! I came the as a five year old norwegian girl that couldnt speak a word of english and I had never lived anywhere but Norway before, but I loved it there. The weather, the people, the culture, the food, was all amazing and I even loved my school (The overseas children school of Colombo as it was called back then)
So since I loved this country so much I felt like featuring it in my traveling journal this week J

In the honor of some friends of mine from Marocco, Ive desided to visit the city of Casablanca. Casablanca is a city on the west coast of Marocco, located on the Atlantic ocean. It is also the largest city in Marocco and the sixth biggest in Africa. It has unofficially up to about 6 million inhabitants. The name ”casablanca” is originally spanish and means ”whitehouse”, in arabic ”dar baïda”.

It is now time to travel a bit away from my lovely city of Bergen. I have this time desided to go to a small town north from here called SOGNDAL. I actually lived here for a year and it was here I kinda fell in love with photography. I lived at a so called "folkehøgskule" where I studied Nature photography from one of my favorit teachers ever, Mr Finn Loftesnes. At this school we didnt get any grades and we just had fun and got to meet some amazing people, like my good friend
I was really sad to leave this place but Im now gonna show you why I Loved it so much:

My Summer Holiday. Part 1: BERGEN

Since I finally have finished uni for the summer, and since I wont be going on holiday any time soon, I’ve desided to have my very own ”make-believe” summer vaction. During this holiday I will be traveling to different parts of the world and see alot of interesting and beautiful stuff. If any of you wants to get a make-believe visit from me or if you have any tips on where I should og and what I should see, I would love to hear about it J


Part 1: BERGEN

Finally summer! And the weather is actually beautiful! I’ve started my vaction in my sweet homecity BERGEN.

Here I enjoyed the the fun city life, the nice weather, beautiful mountains, and the beautiful streets of "my" city:
